The Foundation receives and administers all gifts to the ministries of Lutheran Homes of South Carolina, which include Franke at Seaside, the Heritage at Lowman, Rice Estate, RoseCrest, Trinity on Laurens, Lutheran Hospice, BeWell Home Services and BeWell@Home.

Is “Deprescribing” Right for You?
Posted on October 29, 2026 - As we get older, we may begin to need more medications. Maybe we start out with just one pill to manage blood pressure, then later add one for our cholesterol. Over time, it’s easy to see how chronic conditions can start to stack up, and with them, the number of medications we take. Before we know it, our medicine cabinet is filled with medications we’re currently taking, used to take, or take as needed. And that’s not even counting any over-the-counter supplements or vitamins that may also be in the mix.
“Because we feel that the work the Foundation does is so important, we would like to make a gift of stock in memory of my parents and to honor those who work in the Rice Estate skilled nursing area, the BeWell Home Services staff and the Lutheran Hospice group. Our hope is that our gift can help the Foundation continue providing wonderful experiences to other people like my parents were able to enjoy with their connection through the Rice Estate.
